Ok, I teased you with that headline…which I have learned is the WORST thing I can do to get wesbite hits via Google, but oh well…I still went there. Technically this was Kellie Pickler singing a Walt/Davis Raines co-write on The View.
Check out the video below of Kellie singing her latest single the beautiful “Someone Somewhere Tonight” that will most likely NEVER get played on mainstream radio EVEN if it is on the coattails of Kellie winning Dancing With The Stars, because it is not dumbed down and written by Dr. Seuss.
I hope I am wrong. I have been wrong before, especially when it comes to Pickler.
I will be the first to admit that when Pickler was on American Idol, I couldn’t stand her. I thought the “gooooooollllyyyy, I am so country and dumb and worked at Sonic” routine was all an act. I don’t know if it was or not, but she has certainly grown into a beautiful and talented woman. I can’t even hate on her and I can hate on anyone.
I do have one question for the webmaster over on TheView.com though. WHAT in the world did that song have to do with KENNY ROGERS? Is KENNY ROGERS the only country singer reference they could come up with or did I miss some Kenny reference from the interview?
Update: Ignore the Kenny thing.
