I hate reading and having to post these stories. This crap is happening so often and there just doesn’t seem to be an end to it. There is just nothing worse than a thief. I hope they all get a rancid case of the genital ass warts. The only upside is seeing how this little family takes care of its own. It is amazing to see all of the help.
But for realzies, you guys have GOT to keep an eye on your stuff! Maybe you can drive those trailers up into the hotel room or something. Those asshole thieving methheads would steal their momma’s oxygen tank if it meant they could crank it up. Don’t worry about starting a Kickstarter to fund your album, get one to pay your insurance premiums.

If you haven’t heard, MRC had almost all of their equipment stolen from them last weekend, to the tune of $15K. In an effort to help keep them afloat, we are asking for your help.

Someone stole our lives from us. Gibson J200 standard- serial number 10882048-stolen. 70′s Gibson EB0 bass- stolen. Ampeg svt3 pro bass amp- stolen. Green Sonor drums- stolen. Custom spalted maple Telecaster- stolen. Two pedalbords full of pedals-stolen.

Where’s Max Stalling when you need him. Recovering stolen instruments/equipment could be a good plot device for a reality show. Got to be better than hunting antiques or digging through storage units, and certainly more beneficial to society than creating and feeding fame whores.
Equipment insurance is ridiculously cheap, I have no sympathy for working bands that this happens to that doesn’t have insurance, buy one less bag of weed every other month and your shit can be insured!!
I’m with “Morons”, if you are in business, you need to have insurance. Period. This is your livelihood, you aren’t prepared for a worst case scenario and now you want everyone else to bail you out? As if. Yes, it sucks that your gear was stolen, but in my mind these bands are no different than the toothless guy in a wife beater, living in a trailer park in tornado alley who “never thought this would happen to them”. Give me a break.
Did you know in addition to insurance that you can also use GPS equipment in the trailer and in the gear itself? You could follow it online, get it recovered and probably even have the assholes who took it punished.
It’s a tough world out there, you just have to be smarter than the guy who wants to rip you off.
Yes, it would be easy to be proactive and hedge your bets with a little “insurance”, but as anyone who’s been to Cushatta knows: insurance is a sucker bet. besides, look at all the instant goodwill we can garner by donning our puppy dog eyes and begging for a fundraiser to upgrade or replace all that first year gear our lame-o parents bought us and are more than likely claiming on their home owner’s insurance. plus, it’s just not rock-n-roll to fill out paperwork unless it’s a whataburger survey for a free number 3 with cheese. noog.
much love to MRC, sure they could’ve had insurance. but they didn’t and their shit is all gone now. You guys are a bunch of assholes. Hoped you get robbed tonight.
People throw around benefits like Kristen Kelly throw’s her ass around these days!! How about a meaningful benefit like you have been dignosed with cancer and people come together for that, not that you are so high all the time you didn’t bother to get insurance, seriously folks!!
