Today, Back In The Day: Sylvia

Does she think she’s being clever….clllleeeevvvvaaahhh?

TimeMachine

Ahhhh…the mysteriously fantastic pride of Kokomo, Indiana…who was “crossing over” to the pop side of the musical world long before Taylor Swift was shake, shake, shaking off her haters, because they weren’t even born yet…Sylvia hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Country charts with the guilty pleasure ear candy that is the song “Nobody”.

Oh how I loved me some Sylvia.

I remember standing on the fireplace hearth and singing “Nobody” into my hairbrush and pretending I had her long, luxurious bouncin’ and behavin’ hair instead of the nappy mop Momma Ballou cut short so she didn’t have to deal with it like it was yesterday.

Y’all have to stay with this video until the very end to see Loretta throwing Sy all kinds of shade with some serious side eye!

Sidenote: Isn’t it funny how things have changed? Did you notice how no one moved, clapped, sang or even bobbed their head during the performance?

If a lot like me, you are thinking to yourself, self…what in the world ever happened to Sylvia…I…errr, Wikipedia can tell you:

Since 2002, Sylvia has been a life coach where she helps individuals working in the music industry – singers, songwriters, musicians, recording artists, and music industry professionals. She also coaches people who work at non-profit agencies. She is currently married with the name Sylvia Hutton and lives in the Nashville, Tennessee, area.

Life coach?  Seriously?  I want one of those!  Sylvia, call me…let’s do lunch!

Have you ever consiidered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.

However think about if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”!

Yourr content is excellent but with images and videos,
thios website could certainly be one of the very best in its niche.
    Fantastic blog!
