Sooooo…while we were all celebrating ‘Merica over the long holiday weekend on Thursday night, July 4th the Eli Young Band was playing the L’Auberge du Lac Casino & Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I was on a train. It is a long story, but I will cover it later this week. Well, the train was delayed because apparently freight trains have the right of way on the tracks over human carrying trains. I know, right? Who knew?
Anywhoo…the point of this blog entry is/was…while my Netflix didn’t work on the train, my Twitter did and I saw THIS tweet from the Eli Young Band:
Flag mishap? What happened?
Was there some sort of scandalous Lil’ Wayne situation that I missed while I was on the Choo Choo Ballou Express to Garth’lahoma?
Yeah…not so much. It was far less licentious. (I don’t really even know what that word means. I just put “scandalous” into my Thesaurus.com Ap because I didn’t want to use it twice and it popped up first.)
Short story longer, the casino people…not the band…dropped an American flag 30 seconds from the end of “Crazy Girl”. It was the last song and that made an all dramatic ‘Merica moment just in time to start the fireworks…but, as you can see…it was backwards.
Pfffttt…that’s a boring mishap.
It isn’t like they were singing the National Anthem and forgot the words or something. (Oh come one, you know I had to go there…other than guy liner jokes, it really is all I got left. That Grammy nomination thingy kinda trumps all Glambert jokes, g’damn it!)
