Spreads, Blow Up Girls, Giraffes and Cross Dressing

I know I should be more involved in all of this football stuff, but honestly it bores me to tears. I even married a football player from Texas State and could care less about this rivialry. I hope that doesn’t make me a bad Bobcat. Lord knows how much money Ike sends down there in those little Alumni envelopes.

Evidently Randy Rogers and Josh Abbott made some kind of bet on Twitter and it was even mentioned in the Dallas Morning News.

There has been a lot of chirping between friends and Texas country music stars Josh Abbott, a Texas Tech fan, and Randy Rogers, a Texas State fan, on Twitter recently.

Both music stars, with verified accounts, have been working on a bet related to the 17.5-point spread the Red Raiders hold over Texas State in Saturday’s football game in San Marcos, Texas.

According to Abbott, if Texas State fails to meet the spread Rogers will have to dress up like a giraffe and sing Abbott’s hit “She’s Like Texas” and post it to YouTube. If Texas State does beat the spread, Abbott has to dress up and sing Rogers’ hit “Blow Up Plastic Girl” and post it to YouTube.

A fan responded to both players saying the winner of the bet would drastically influence where she attends college to which Abbott responded:

“haha. Better start buying red and black”

You can see if there’s anymore talk between the two Texas country stars via Abbott’s Twitter account @joshabbottband and Rogers’ twitter account @rrbchoir

Either way, we all win.  I hope there are no welchers!
