Who would YOU like to see with some stragticially placed Whataburger bags on the Texas Music Scene with Ray Benson??
The Rattle Inn in Austin is having shows every Wednesday night thru August 15th and of the artists scheduled, you can vote on who you’d like to see showcased on the television show. You can vote for your favorite on the KVET website and automatically register for a $50 booze tab too.
Click HERE to vote for your favorite between John David Kent, Ryan Beaver, Thieving Birds, William Clark Green. Uncle Lucius, Johnny Cooper, Curtis Grimes, and The Spankin Twins.
Hmmm…that is a really hard line up for me to chose from. Who did you vote for?

John David Kent! He is awesome
How many of these acts are managed by the event promoter? Three? That must be the easiest way to get on any bill in Austin that KVET is in cahoots with.
At least we will see someone who isn’t the same three bands on the show. Ha. Those guy have a hard on for the same old people In the scene. Occasionally they have someone interesting, but they never highlight anyone new or potentially exciting.
They aren’t promoting anything we don’t already know about. I love The Departed but how many times can they be on the show? There are plenty of artists who they just don’t care about. Is rather see where we are going to watch althe constant rehash of where we’ve all been.
Troubador and Texas Music scene are both good ideas, but sadly both seemingly run by outsiders who miss the point. Reality TV done poorly vs highlights I the bands we knew 10 years ago. Boring
Instead of a contest that is set up to get the promoters bands on the show, why don’t they just feature some of the actual good bands out there that are up and coming and relevant?
We have already seen Curtis Grimes Voice fail. When Uncle Lucious has to win a contest to be on your show, that’s all I need to know about how you evaluate the bands you chose to highlight. Wow
Will Green!
Has this show jumped the shark already? The day I see a Curtis Grimes episode is the day I check out.
