I am going to do this short and sweet just because I don’t want to give away tooooo many details!
Monday and Tuesday I was invited down to San Marcos to the Texas Music Theatre to watch the taping of next seasons Texas Music Scene with Ray Benson. I had an entire blog written but I decided to hold off on it until the actual shows that I watched being filmed air on television…and THEN I can link the segments and do a full recap of what REALLY happened. Does that sound fair? (My plan was to recap it all on the radio and then post the audio, but that evidently wasn’t exactly an option.)
I will share a few interesting things early:
-The TMS totally hooks up the band with Whataburger bucks! Those things are like gold, just probably much more valuable at 4:00 am.
-Reckless Kelly performed both of their songs from the A and B side of their new project.
-The Trishas had an extra Trisha that played electric guitar with them for the afternoon.

Don’t fret…I have oodles and oodles of more interesting tidbits and I can’t wait to see the final product. It was a fascinating two days and I can’t thank Tom, Tony and the Texas Music Theatre for not only inviting and feeding me, but for making me feel so welcome. I was honored to be invited to their set and was blow away about how professional…and honestly just how much FUN the entire procedure was to watch.
