Pass The Baby And That Banjo…

I am on a roll with lame titles today.  Sorry.

Liz Foster of the Trishas was recently interviewed by Megan Schiebe of the MJ Schiebe Radio Show and thanks to the magic of the internets and stuff, we are able to listen to it. Man, I really gotta figure out how to do some of this cool stuff. I wanna Rita Ballou: Uncensored Blogpodcomputerphonetalkingcast!

This interview is about 16 minutes long, but if you are a Trishas fan it will be well worth your time.

I do have to say, I am tad bit confused about why MJ would be so comfortable showing up at a Trishas gig in neon tights, red lipstick and 5 inch stiletto high heels because when I think Trishas, I think the exact opposite. I think matching peasant dresses, floppy hats and Pantene commercial perfection hair…they are much more earthy than glam. I really don’t think Gaga, I think gingham.

Below are some random things that we learn from this interview. If you’d like to make things a little more challenging for yourself, feel free to turn this interview into a drinking game. Try to take a shot every time you hear the words “baby” or “passion” and “phenomenal” and see how drunk you get or feel free to “butt-chug” yourself into a coma if that’s your thing.  I read that the college kids are really into that sorta stuff now. (It’s really not that bad, I was just looking for a way to use a butt chug reference before that story blows over.)

-Megan talks kinda funny.

-I think there was a dog barking at the beginning of the interview.

-Liz was in Nashville at the time of the interview.

-The Trishas are finishing up (or starting) their third “twer” for the summer…I zoned out a little bit when I was trying to figure out exactly what a “twer” was.

-Megan seems to be blow away at the concept of being on the road to promote an album.

-Two of the chicks in the group are mommas and they travel with their youngeons.

-Megan thinks the girls are fun.

-Music is the Trishas passion and they are both family and business partners.

-The Trishas just go with the flow and go with their guts.

-Babies are funny.

-Baby Joanie is very complimentary early in the morning.

-Liz gives other people parenting advice, even though she’s never procreated.

What I took away from this interview is how much I love love love love the concept that the Trishas are working with:

“Take your passion and turn it into a career without sacrificing your strong beliefs in that passion.”

Amen and pass the baby and the banjo.
