I threw a Twitter invite out into the Twat-a-Sphere last week to see if Owen Temple would come and visit us and sing a few songs on the Shooter Acoustic Stage…and to our surprise, he DID!

“Tennessee Highway” is one of the more popular songs that we play and we get tons of requests for it. I absolutely LOVE that because the song was released in 1997. Even if you have been an Owen fan forever, the song is new to so many of our listeners. I dunno…this radio thing might all go away tomorrow, but I just think that this is proof that if you provide good music that actually means something to an audience that is so eager to hear it, it doesn’t matter how old it is, how much was paid to a record promoter or how many koozies were given away as payment for a vote on CMT.com…people will truly appreciate and connect with it.
I had never met Owen before, but he was a treat. He has big giant blue eyes and is a bit of a wiggle worm. He also brought us goodies including Diet Coke so we will now be best friends forever.
Owen also blessed us with a little bit of music from everyone’s hero…Gary Floater.
If you aren’t familiar with the legend that is Gary Floater, shame on you.

It was a great morning in the AM Corral!
