Lots of new music “dropped” just like it was hot yesterday.
Did you get any? What did you think?
Here’s a list of some of the new tuneage, some reviews and random tidbits about them…
Ryan Bingham’s Tomorrowland:

Bart Crow’s Dandelion:

Music News Nashville Review: HERE
Mike Ryan’s Night Come Following:

Kickin’ Country Review: HERE
Will Hoge’s Modern American Protest Music:
This is a mini-album/EP of “socially charged” songs and I haven’t seen or heard many reviews about it. I am personally going to NOT listen to it because if we have different views it might hinder our blossoming friendship.
Curtis Grimes’s Live at the Parish:
You can hear song clips and read the itunes reviews HERE.
Kacey Musgraves’s single Merry Go Round:

Of course Bee Dee over on Taste of Country.com gave it a positive review. I think the song is amazing and is a total game changer for the sound of women on Country radio…or I hope so, but the problem is when a reviewer gives EVERYONE a positive review it doesn’t mean much when a song that actually deserves one gets one. Ok, off my soap box.
Taste of Country.com Review: HERE.
Dwight Yoakam’s Three Pairs:

I think this album cover is dumb, but hey…it’s Dwight. He can do what he wants when the music inside is great.
Washington Post Review: HERE
Paste Magazine Review: HERE
For the record, I didn’t understand a WORD of both of those reviews above. Holy thesaurus.
It might have just been me, but usually when someone in the “scene” releases a new album I see an overwhelming Twitter response from the other artists supporting them and asking their followers to check it out and RT about it. I didn’t see much of that yesterday? What’s up with that? Oh how soon we forget…

Got Dwight Yoakam’s new album and the Kacey Musgraves single. Love the album and the single. I have to pace myself on buying new music, that stuff can get expensive.
Mike Ryan’s CD is really good and I got Kacey Musgraves single. About damn time she released her music! Ordered Bart Crow Cd… I heard it was a good one.
