I have always liked Mike Ryan’s voice. Not many people should even dare to try to even attempt to think about covering a Conway Twitty song without the written consent and permission of Conway’s corpse, but Mikey Mike does it well. (I’m not sure about that skraggy hair, but its not like anyone asked me.)
Mike’s new album “Night Comes Falling” (this is his second album I think but I am not sure and too lazy to Google) comes out on September 18th, but here is the first single “The Cold One”…and it is NOT about beer.

Two things I took away from this song…I could be completely wrong, but this is just my interperatation.
#1. I agree with being the “Cold One” in a relationship too…even if you are on the receiving side of the truth, it is sure a hell of a lot better and less painful in the end to be told how the cow eats the cabbage from jump street rather be strung along.
#2. Mike Ryan playing the “I am over you bitch, so don’t even try that shit again. You left me once already and broke my heart so you can just piss off now because you are a horrible shrew. I know I could hit it again, but I don’t need your sorry ass fucking with my mind” card is pretty damn sexy.

I like this song, but Mike Ryan doesn’t follow anybody back on twitter and seems to only use it to interact with other artists and plug his own stuff. He needs to read your twitter article in Lone Star Music Magazine…
