I have a little prize for y’all today in the form of another “Exclusive” song debut!
Today’s premiere is from none other than our favorite unbuttoned-to-the-belly-button-smooth chested-smilin’-and-a-singin’-cowboy-Jon Wolfe.
No H. Extra E.
Before we get to the listening part of this post, we need to get the paperwork out-of-the-way.
Let’s read a little bit from Jon’s soon-to-be-street legal album, Natural Man that I have professionally and carefully regurgitated from this officially, official Press Release for y’all below:
Country artist Jon Wolfe will release his much anticipated album, Natural Man, on March 31.
Natural Man, produced by Wolfe, Lex Lipsitz and Billy Decker and recorded at Nashville’s Westwood Studios and Ronnie’s Place, is a 13-track collection of songs that merges Wolfe’s signature traditional sound, influenced by some of Country music’s greatest legends, including George Strait, Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Dwight Yoakam, with an edgy, modern energy.
Wolfe describes the album as a personal journey, saying:
“Natural Man is a concept that I have wanted to record for a few years. This album stretches me as an artist and as a vocalist, while staying true to who I am. I have known how I wanted it to sound, and how I wanted it to look for some time now. I’ve been visualizing this album for such a long time, and it feels great to finally bring it to life!”
Well, it IS alive now and this is the proof!
Feast your ears on Jon’s first single from his forthcoming and highly anticipated new album, “Smile On Mine”:
Smile on mine? Ahhh…how clever! I see what you did there Jon.
That was a little tongue-in-cheek wasn’t it?
See what I did there?
I am assuming right about now you are asking yourself, self…”what does Jon have to say about this song?”
Well, don’t ponder that question any longer, because I am about to tell you.
Of the new single, Wolfe comments:
“My new single “Smile On Mine” really clicked with me the first time I heard it. It represents this important bridge between traditional country and the more edgy, modern melodies we’re hearing on the radio these days. That’s what I feel like my whole new album is doing – I’m staying true to my roots and my traditional voice, but also growing and adapting with the times. I think my fans are going to love it!”
I would have to totally agree. I couldn’t have said it any better, so I won’t even try.
“Smile On Mine” is leaving the happy hit-making Peach Pickers nest and flying into radio land today, but you can take it under your wing and give it a home of its own on February 3rd via iTunes and Amazon as well as pre-order and preview the entire Natural Man album on March 3rd.
