Here is a quick recap of all things in Texas Reality TV…
Remember Uncle Stacy from Troubadour, TX? Well, it is almost time SDC to kick off the new season! I know people that know people so I can tell y’all that this season is going to be different than the first one. Luckily, the CW is moving the show’s time to a better time slot and this weekend they should pick up with Episode #10. The show will be slowed down quite a bit…which works for me as a re’capper…and they are going to be spending more time on a handful of artists instead of 93859284923484320 of them and they will be telling their stories in a more condensed way.
Score!
Also, they are adding a new music element where the Troubadour’s will be performing with “a mentor” aka a more legendary Troubadour including: Kylie Rae Harris with Walt Wilkins, Cary Pierce with Jack Ingram, Guthrie Kennard with Ray Wylie Hubbard and Woody Russell with Michael M Murphey.

This fun little nugget of news ended up in my mail box today (thanks ladies):
About SWANDEROSA: From the unforgettable to sometimes the unimaginable, each weekend the Swan family transforms their 18-acre Texas estate into a wedding wonderland as chronicled in the new CMT series, SWANDEROSA, premiering Friday, January 20 at 9:00-9:30 p.m. CT. When most families are planning their summer vacations, the Swan family goes into overdrive with the kick-off of wedding season. They run an elaborate event-planning business based in their own backyard, just outside of San Antonio. Eldest daughter Ashley coordinates the events; mom and resident perfectionist Judy executes her floral visions; dad Tom spins custom mixes as the house DJ, Dr. Smoove; and younger daughter Lesley is a whiz with a glue gun and some power tools.
Hmmm…I like shows based in Texas, I like shows about weddings and I like shows where people freak out and throw hissy fits…but will I like this one? I am not sure, but as always I gotta give this one a shot. Well, because I know people that know people I DO know that the CMT cameras were around for a wedding where the entertainment was provided by the Steve Helms Band. Will Steve make the show or will he end up on the cutting room floor? I guess we will have to stay tuned this season to find out.
And….incase you missed it, the ladies with the giant hoop earrings and plastic solo cups are officially back! Click HERE to see what Brooke and Ali Dee had to say about this season of Texas Women.
