I am not good at these kinds of posts and I am never really sure what to write, but I just wanted to share this with everyone.
Over the holidays, John Evans along with his family and friends said goodbye to his daughter Abigail. If you are not familiar with Abbie or her story, below is the link to the documentary about her life and her fragile, rare condition:
I was lucky enough and honored to meet Abigail briefly at the screening of the documentary last year and was moved by her courage. The film was truly inspirational and it both bravely and beautifully captured her life outside of her condition as well as brought much needed attention to the disease of EB.

It is with the heaviest of hearts and tears running down our cheeks that we tell you Abigail passed away on December 23, 2013. She was truly a bright light and we know she is shining wherever she may be. Our thoughts and love are with Abbie’s family during this unimaginably difficult time.
Many of you have been asking how you can help, so we have dedicated this page to collect donations for Abbie’s memorial service. We know how many lives Abbie has touched and how many people love her, so donate if you can and let’s give her the send-off she deserves.
Much love and appreciation,
The Merch Girl Family

For those interested, John also posted this invitation on his Facebook page:
I am sending out an invitation to the world. Please come celebrate the life of Abigail Rene Evans with us. So many people contributed to make this celebration happen. Love to you from Abbie and our family.
We are wishing the family strength and guidance through this sad, difficult time.
