We have a new #1 on the Texas Music Chart this week…but first, let’s count the top five down. Or up.
Down one from #4 to #5 this week is Stoney LaRue’s “Look At Me Fly”:
Anyone have any idea what the next single from this album is? I hope it’s not the Wire Grass song…not that anyone asked me. My vote is for “Te Amo Mas Que La Vida” but I don’t exactly see that as a fun, upbeat boom-boom speaker summer tune. I guess we will see.
With a HUGE jump from #17 to #4 this week is Aaron Watson’s “Raise Your Bottle”:
Sidenote: I have that same dress that Katie Key is wearing.
Slipping down two spots from the past two weeks at #1 is Pat Green’s “Austin” from his Songs I Didn’t Write album:
At #2 with TWENTY DAMN FOUR weeks on the chart out of the twenty seven weeks in 2012 is EYB’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”.
Hey, did you know that Will Hoge and Eric Paslay wrote that song? She types sarcastically. I heard rumors of a Wade/Will/McPotter acoustic run this fall. Has anyone else heard that?
Finally, the #1 song in all of the land is…
Cody Canada & the Game Changers with “True Love Never Dies.”
(This video has some pretty awesome Man Fanning…don’t skip it.)
I need some new music desperately. I feel like I just listen to the same stuff over and over. Even the “new” songs that entered the Texas Music Chart this week feel like they aren’t new…to me. I dunno.
Anyway, we have three new entries this week:
#50. Casey Berry’s “I Lie”:
#45. Ryan Beaver’s “Nobody Wants to Be Alone”:
#44. Adam Hood’s “Hard Times in the Land of Plenty”:
(Not the best video quality. Sorry.)
Song that took the biggest shit from last week: Curtis Grimes “Irresponsible” with -205.
Radio promoters that earned their money this week, not including newbies: Aaron Watson’s “Raise Your Bottle” with +200 more spins.
Bands with BAND in the name: 5
Songs by Chicks: 3, if the Spakins only count as 1…4 if they don’t.
