I am a little late in posting today…sorry, I had a crazy day yesterday and today ain’t going much better. Let’s just say it is 80 degrees in my house YET AGAIN. I seriously think I almost Anna Hunt’ed out on the guy that just showed up to “fix” it ONE MORE TIME. Other than sweating balls, I won’t even begin to tell you my website frustrations with fear that my head might explode. I will save that for a later rant.
We will just start with this week’s Texas Music Chart.

As far as the top five goes…same shit, different week. Ok, I would’t call it “shit” because these are all great songs, but I swear they just play musical chairs. I realize that is how a music chart works, but I can’t just keep recycling the same twatty comments I write about them over and over. I need new songs for some new material.
Pat Green’s “Austin” is still holding onto the #1 slot for the second week in a row. Cody Canada and the Game Changers are up 3 spots to the #2 position with “True Love Never Dies”. The Eli Young Band is still holding at #3 with “Crazy Girl, Part Deux”, Stoney’s “Look At Me Fly” took a bit of a dumper from #2 down into #4 and the Turnpike Troubadours bumped down one from last week to #5 with “Gin, Smoke and Lies”.
ZZZZZZZZZ
As far as the newbies this week we have:
#49. Bri Bagwell’s “Whiskey”
#48. Jon Wolfe’s “It All Happened In a Honky Tonk”
^^The making of the video^^
#45. Kevin Fowler’s “Here’s To Me and You”
#39. Bart Crow’s “Little Bit of Luck”
This one debuted pretty high. Good for Tart! I am sooooooo excited about this song and the new Bart Crow album! It just sounds like it is going to be such fun new material.
Time to check the checklist:
Song that took the biggest shit from last week: Josh Abbott Band’s “Touch” with -160 spins from last week.
Radio promoters that earned their money this week, not including newbies: Reckless Kelly’s “Give It a Try” with +146 more spins from last week.
Bands with BAND in the name-5
Songs by Chicks-3, if the Spakins only count as 1…4 if they don’t.
Number of Artists on the TMC Banner that aren’t actually on the chart this week: 4
