Bleu Edmondson was following me around this weekend.
We saw Bleu at his Boot Campaign event at Midnight Rodeo in Austin on Friday night and again on Saturday when he played the ever popular “Spurfest” street dance in my very own home town.
Bleu called into the 929 Shooter FM AM Corral Thursday to chat about this and that. Here are some of the highlights:
-Bleu was going to walk around in short shorts to be #1 in the Woman’s prison market.
-Terry asked Bleu about the weather.
-The weather in Colorado is nice.
-Terry was out of Texas for 10 years.
-Bleu can’t move out of Texas because the fans would crucify him.
-Bleu doesn’t have any kids and isn’t married.
-Bleu, Stoney, Roger Ray and Randy Wells were hanging out on Stoney’s bus after Pickin’ For Preemies.
-Bleu’s guitar walked away that night and never returned…and his truck keys were in it.
-Every song Bleu has ever recorded, he wrote on that guitar.
-It cost Bleu $500 to get a new key made.
-Randy Wells let Bleu borrow a much better guitar.
-I am going to be the emcee at the make-believe Bleu Edmondson vacation fund-raiser and Terry is going to hack in it.
-All of the money from the show on Friday went to the Boot Campaign.
(Ignore the first 1:50 or so…that wasn’t on the air. I feel like that masked magician that gave away all of the magic trick secrets on Fox.)
I never did get that boot picture with Bleu, but I guess having my picture taken with this dude is good enough. I just wish I had eyeballs!

I know I’m late on this but I adore this interview. I love Texas Country but living in Southern California I don’t get to see/hear a lot that happens around Texas. I appreciate all you do to help that and again great interview. Is there any chance you could post the one where you guys wake him up?
